Year 12 Further Mathematics

Firstly students will cover the AS Mathematics syllabus (see Year 12 Mathematics for this content). Secondly they will cover the A level Mathematics syllabus (content below).

Pure Maths

Students do the Further Mathematics A level in Year 13 comprising of FP1, FP2, FP3, S1, D1 and a choice of S2 or M3 modules.

FP1 Complex Numbers, Numerical solutions of equations, Coordinate systems, Matrix algebra, Series, Proof.

FP2 Inequalities, Series, Further complex numbers, First order differential equations, Second order differential equations, Maclaurin & Taylor series, Polar coordinates.
