We were delighted in March 2025 to receive final approval for our new Science and Art building. Work began in April 2025, for completion by September 2026. This is an exciting new chapter in Wood Green School's development. In partnership with Oxfordshire County Council, we will expand our facilities with this brand-new £4 million building at the front of our school, which marks a significant investment into our students’ learning environment and the future of our community. The new building has now reached its "topping out" stage. This is the moment the roof is safely on and the structure is fully in place. For the first time, we were able to step inside and explore the space properly. We didn't appreciate the scale of the building until we were standing inside! From the six new classrooms to the wider learning areas, the progress was brilliant to witness. It's clear just how much skill, coordination, and sheer hard work has gone into getting us here. Below is a timelapse showing the journey so far: from foundations, to steel frame, to the roof being completed. It really brings the story of the build to life.
