Our GCSE results came out this morning and were shared with students at 9am.
We are pleased to say that the headlines showed a big step forward, and were back in line with our very good results in 2023. This reflects all the effort that has gone into supporting the y11s with our structure revision programme ‘GAINS’. The headlines were:
Date: | 2025 | 2024 | 2023 |
Attainment 8 | 46.3 | 42.3 | 49.1 |
5 X GCSEs 4+ (inc. M&E) | 71 | 63 | 72 |
Basics 5+ | 48 | 43 | 52 |
Basics 4+ | 71 | 63 | 72 |
There is no Progress 8 measure this year as this cohort did not do SATs in year 6 due to COVID, but our internal analysis shows that being in line with our 2023 attainment represents a good progress measure for this cohort.
There were lots of individual successes at all levels from our mainstream and also the Achievement Centre and Connect, which was great to see. We are excited to see our students now going off to their next adventure, in our 6th Form, at college or in apprenticeships. We wish them all every happiness and success. I am sure the Class of 2025 would join me in thanking all our staff and parents who have supported them along the way.
